The Provincial Councils and Local Government Ministry has initiated a vocational training course in associated with the Vocational Training Authority, for the students who failed the G.C.E. O/L examination.

The course was started for 50 students in the Colombo district recently. Addressing the gathering at the course inauguration. Minister said: “ The Majority believes that nobody can step forward without passing O/Ls or A/Ls. But when considering about the business scheme, most people are not well educated. But they are intelligent.

He further stated that your future by giving you a proper vocational training. It’s not only doctors and engineers who have become successful in their careers.”

The minister said: “Not only white collar jobs can earn money, anybody can earn well if they are dedicated to their career. When you have the knowledge, together with the labour you can be successful.”
