Centre For Distance And Continuing Education (CDCE) of Rajarata University of Sri Lanka invites application for the Advanced Certificate Course in English (Extension) – 2017.

Applications are invited for the above course from those employed in the public and the private sectors and others interested in learning English. Applicants should have passed G.C.E. (O/L) with Mathematics, Sinhala / Tamil language and at least a simple pass in English language or an equivalent qualification acceptable. Applicants without a simple pass for English language at the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination or an equivalent qualification acceptable are required to pass a selection test conducted by the University. All candidates will be selected after a selection / placement test and an interview. Candidates who successfully complete the Advanced Certificate Course in English (Extension) are eligible to follow the Diploma in English (Extension) Course without facing the Selection Test.

Duration: One year (Saturday / Sunday)

Course

This course includes lessons and activities to improve Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing Skills. The course includes a Literature component as well.

Fees

Registration Fee               : Rs. 200.00

Course Fee         : Rs. 19,000.00 (with the option of paying in 2 installments)

Examination Fee              : Rs. 500.00

Commencement of the course: January 2017

Application forms and further information could also be downloaded from www.rjt.ac.lk and when the application is sent to the university, a money order to the value of Rs. 100.00 obtained as per the instructions in this advertisement should be sent.
