The programmed is enriched with a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge of nearly 370+ hours of course work, 120 hours of practical classes, workshops, industrial visits and one year research component. The course has been aimed for training much needed polymer scientists, polymer technologists, quality control officers, and plant managers for booming Sri Lankan rubber and plastics industry.

Lectures are to be conducted during weekends and practical classes are to be conducted on Friday evenings

Preference would be given to applicants sponsored by the state and the private sector organizations engaged in Plastic, Rubber and allied industries.

Eligibility

B.Sc. degree with Chemistry or B.Sc. Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent prior learning experience and/or a qualification in polymer or allied fields Completion of NVQF level 7 may also be considered. Students who are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

The selection will be on the basis of an interview
