The High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Sri Lanka invites applications for the award of Jinnah Scholarships to deserving Sri Lankan students pursuing their studies for the O Levels and A Levels.
The Government of Pakistan has been awarding Jinnah Scholarships to Sri Lankan O Levels /A levels students for the past 9 years with approximately Rs. 35 Million worth of scholarships being awarded through the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka.
The scholarships are named after the great statesman and leader of the Sub Continent. Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad AJi Jinnah, who is the founder of Pakistan.
The scholarships are awarded on the basis of strict criteria involving merit and need for financial assistance. Under this programme, each successful student receives a stipend of SL Rs. 24,000 as assistance for one year to pursue their studies, the Government of Pakistan is awarding the Jinnah Educational Scholarships since 2005 and so far over 1000 Sri Lankan students have benefited from this scheme.
