The Open University of Srilanka invites applications for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education Programme for the academic year of 2014/2015.
Application forms for the above programme will be issued from 01.04.2014 to 03.05.2014 The expected student intakes according to the medium of study to follow the programme for each centre are given below.

*For the academic activities in English Medium, 90 students for the Colombo Centre & 30 students for Gampaha Centre will be enrolled.
- All qualified applicants should sit for a Selection Test to be conducted by the Open University of Sri Lanka on 24th May 2014.
- Candidates would be selected for the programme according to the centre requested by the applicants. Change of the centre or the medium will not be allowed for any reason.
Admission Requirements
Should hold a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University or any other equivalent qualification acceptable to the Senate of the Open University of Sri Lanka, and
Should be a Teacher or a Principal of a recognized school or an In-service Teacher Adviser or a Teacher Educator or an Officer in the Sri Lanka Educational Administrative service or a full time permanent member in the academic staff (Universities, National Colleges of Education, Technical Colleges and Teacher Colleges) or a Government Teacher Centre Manager or a Project Officer (National Institute of Education) and
Should have been appointed on or before 30th June 2013 and in continuous service from the first appointment date.

Application forms and information regarding the programme of study could be obtained by paying Rs. 650/= (Rs. 150/- is included as Selection Test fee) in cash, by following one of the procedures mentioned below.
Personally calling at the Public Information Office, The Open University of Sri Lanka, Nawala, Nugegoda, on all days except Sunday and Public holidays, between 9.00 a.m.-3.00 p. m.
Personally calling at the following Regional/ Study Centres, on days other than Sunday, Monday and Public holidays between 9.00 a.m.-3.00 p.m.
Kandy (Polgolla), Matara (Nupe), Jaffna, Batticaloa, Kurunegala, Ambalangoda, Anuradhapura, Bandarawela, Badulla, Ratnapura, Kegalla, Vavuniya ,Galle, Kalutara, Gampaha, Trincomalee, Ampara, Hatton, Ambalanthota, Puttlam, Polonnaruwa, Kilinochchi and Monaragala.
The Selection Test will be conducted at the above Regional/ Study Centres and further information could be obtained from the Public Information Centre
